The AEM UEGO 6 in 1 Wideband gauge has become a main stay in import, domestic and truck tuning. A wideband oxygen sensor meters the amount of oxygen/air molecules versus fuel molecules passing through the exhaust system. This will allow you to see how rich or lean your engine is running at partial and wide open throttle.
If you are intend to modify your engine in any way (and even if your not), knowing the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) is absolutley essetial to achieve the best performance, and to prevent a condition called “leaning out” which can and will potentially destroy your motor.
What do we mean 6 in 1? By 6 in 1 AEM means that they supply you with different colored face plates and bezels allowing you the end user to match your AEM UEGO wideband to the stock gauges or any aftermarket gauges you might have!
What does “UEGO” Mean? – UEGO is an acronym for Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor.
It is the most accurate, fastest responding type of Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) sensor available on the market period. UEGO sensors should not be confused with common “switch” type O2 sensors equipped in OEM vehicles that are designed to work within the parameters of a factory engine management calibration.
The AEM UEGO Wideband also comes equipped with a 0-5V ouput so you can wire it into any aftermarket ECU/ECM or datalogger you might have. This will also allow for real time datalogging allowing you to street tune at anytime and dial your car in whenever needed.
