1) Get a tune up.
Change the spark plugs. Consider buying the new spark plugs that fire with twice the spark of conventional plugs. These plugs will increase the burn efficiency of your fuel and give increased MPG. At the least, install new plugs at least every 5,000 miles. With the increased Ethanol and other additives being added to our gasoline, increased fowling of plugs is a side effect.
2.) Add a “Cold Ram Air Intake System” to your engine.

This technology is available for most cars and trucks, whether gas or diesel powered.
These programmers increase the ‘timing” of fuel delivery to obtain a more complete “burn”. A more complete “burn” is the equivalent to getting more power out of the fuel that you already are using. These units allow your vehicle to run in a “higher” gear and downshift less, which consumes less fuel. In diesel engines, programmers increase fuel pressure, which in turn atomizes the fuel into a finer mist, increasing fuel burn efficiency and economy.
